If you're wrapping up a gift for a book lover, you have to try this!
This is such a fun way to wrap up a book AND add extra fun bookish goodies as well! I love that the bookmarks and stickers make the package POP, while still covering the main part of the gift...a book of course! It's the best way to wrap up a book super fast and make it look super cute! You can watch the video tutorial and see the step by step directions below.
Materials Needed:
I also like this colored kraft paper
Scissors
Tape
White Chalk Marker
Extra bookish items
Ribbon or yarn!
How to Wrap:
Measure and Cut the Kraft Paper:
Lay your gift on the Kraft paper. Measure enough paper to wrap the gift entirely, adding an extra few inches on one side for the flap pocket. Cut the paper accordingly.
Wrap the Gift:
Place the gift in the center of the paper. Fold the left side of the paper over the book first. It should cover the entire front cover of the book, along with the spine.
Create the Flap Pocket: Angle the remaining side of the Kraft paper by folding it diagonally. Fold the piece over the book and wrap any extra paper around to the back. Secure with tape! Then fold in the top and bottom of the gift wrap, just like you would with a normal gift.
Fill and Decorate:
Fill the flap pocket with bookmarks, stickers, pens, or other small, flat items. You can also decorate the outside of the flap with washi tape, stamps, or ribbons to add a personalized touch. Add a gift tag and bow to complete the look!
For this package, I chose our summer bookmark, book babe decal and a Pippi gift tag! It would also be so cute to add in this bookworm pen or a book notepad!
You can also write on the packaging using a white chalk marker (like the second version below!) Try this one for your next gift and let me know what you think!
